Community Engagement

We are committed to our community engagement programme and we aim to be a trusted partner in the societies in which we operate, building on our long-standing tradition of supporting local communities and helping them to prosper by our involvement.

We want to make a lasting contribution to our local communities. We invest in a number of community-based initiatives across the group and encourage our employees to make a positive change to their local community. We try and leverage our colleagues’ knowledge and experience alongside integrating clear supplier engagement processes will enable the development of sustainable and prosperous societies.

 

All GemCap employees are encouraged to engage with Community projects that mean something to them. We try and increase the volunteering opportunities by supporting our colleagues on Charity and Community days. In some cases these are Charities where our colleagues help, work as Trustees or raise monies for them. In others it might be a passion such as local sports team which is part of the wider community. In all cases it is about giving back to the people and the community that means something to the individual.

After 25 plus years of domestic institutional separate account and commingled fund management in the US, we set our sights on the UK and European markets with no local experience or knowledge. After a comprehensive search, we determined that GemCap would be the best fit for a specialized, smaller firm like Semper to launch out UCTIS product. We’ve been working with Stuart and team since 2017 and they’ve made this very difficult transition manageable for us.
